This series consists of two certificates issued by the secretary of state authorizing the comptroller of public accounts to issue his warrant for payment. One certificate authorizes the comptroller to issue his warrant to Roberts and Battle for $11.72 for providing the secretary of state's office with stationary and office supplies. The other certificate authorizes the comptroller to issue his warrant of $290.00 to Matthew D. Thomason for annotating and distributing the acts and proceedings of the second session of the General Assembly of Ala. The comptroller was renamed state auditor in 1868.
